Practical aspects of pharmacology are covered in traditional extemporaneous pharmacy and prescription writing for common diseases. The theoretical aspects are supplemented by technological innovations in teaching pharmacology. MBBS, BSc Nursing students in both theoretical as well as practical aspects of pharmacology. Pharmacovigilance centre has been set up and various studies related with it is being carried out like Pharmacovigilance in Herbal Drug and Pharmacovigilance in ART.ĭepartment of Pharmacology is actively involved in training 2nd Prof. Work on herbal remedies has been started and the set up for herbal unit is on the process. There are 5 international and 7 national publications from this department. The courses provided by the department at present are under graduate courses. The Department of Pharmacology came into existence in 2001.
